For mothers of emotionally sensitive teens

Your child used to be fine. Now they're shutting their door, snapping at everything, crying over nothing — or worse, feeling meaningless.

You don't know if it's a phase. You don't know if you made it worse. And you're terrified to say the wrong thing again.

This is for the mother whose child is sensitive, intense and starting to disappear — and who knows that something has to CHANGE before it gets worse.

Why I do this work

"I didn't come to this work through a qualification. I came through survival."

I know what your child looks like from the inside. The hypersensitivity that makes everything feel too loud, too much, too sharp. The way a single comment can collapse an entire day. The low self-worth that hides behind high standards — or behind a closed door and a phone screen. The thoughts no one knows about.

I was that child.

By the time I was sixteen, I had climbed out of windows onto ledges. I had swallowed pills. I had hurt myself in every way a child can hurt herself when the pain inside has nowhere else to go. I was a sensitive child who did not know how to express what I needed, in a family where love was present but connection was broken.

What I saw in the psychiatric ward changed how I understood every family I have worked with since. My own mother and I rebuilt what was broken — not through therapy, but through learning to communicate differently. She is the proof that this work is real. Watch us speak about it below.

This is Estela — the teenager who came back to help you understand yours. 🤍

The shift

What changes when you change

From a child who rages, shuts down, or disappears into their room

to conversations where they actually come to you first.

From walking on eggshells — not knowing what will set them off today

to knowing how to read them, reach them, and stay steady when they can't.

From watching your child shrink — the grades dropping, the friends disappearing, the spark going quiet

to seeing them re-engage with their life.

From the fear that it's going too far and you're running out of time

to having the tools to turn it around before it does.

The framework

Three foundations. In order.

Most communication advice skips the first two. That's why it doesn't stick.

01.
Regulation

The internal capacity to stay present before any technique can work. Foundation comes first.

02.
Co-regulation

What you do, in real moments, with your child's nervous system — not against it.

03.
Responsibility

Repair after rupture. Seeing the next one before it lands. Staying ahead instead of firefighting.

From the people who've done this work

What shifts when the communication does

"I now feel more confident and knowledgeable in communicating and connecting with my daughter."

Before our call, the biggest struggle was managing conflicts. During the session, I realised how to repair a conflict and lend emotional support to my glass-sibling child. I would 100% recommend this to another mother.

Mother of two · Singapore

"Her intuition is truly breathtaking."

Her courage to be open and honest about her vulnerabilities and the trauma of her past was inspiring. In that space, she uses her intuition to help you come to a better understanding of what you are going through — and what you might need to do.

Sam
Lecturer · Singapore

"She shook me out of the beliefs I had constructed during my counselling training."

Deep down, I knew my growth was stagnating but I was too "busy" to make it my priority. Yanling's intervention was the perfect storm I needed — humbling to realise my ego had taken a more socially-acceptable form.
